On the 30th of May 2018, the K-Tower lights were lit for the first time. The spectators for this event were the buyers of the apartments, the mayor of Kortrijk Vincent Van Quickenborne and the vice – mayor Wout Maddens.
The environment-friendly LED-lights on the K-Tower re-design the skyline of Kortrijk.
That evening the artwork in the lobby of the K-Tower was also revealed. This work of art of 91m² was designed by Georges Meurant. This artist from Brussels is well known for his patchworks of colorful squares and rectangles, for example at the Mint and in the European Parliament, both in Brussels.
